The Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) now has an agreement with Google Maps to show current traffic conditions on Dillingham Boulevard and Kamehameha Highway.

Google Maps navigates users safely to destinations in compliance with all current traffic conditions and current left-turn restrictions.

“Due to Google’s policies, communication must come directly from the city or state departments of transportation,” said Lori Kahikina, HART executive director and CEO. “[Hawaii Department of Transportation Director] Ed Sniffen initiated the endeavor and put us in direct contact with the folks at Google Maps, who made the changes to the app expeditiously upon our request.”
