Castle & Cooke Hawaiʻi promotes 3 on Oʻahu

Castle & Cooke Hawai‘i has promoted Denise Kobashigawa to director of human resources, Jason Markpol to manager of Management Information Systems (MIS), and has transferred Tammy Sennett to its building construction department as an assistant construction superintendent.

Kobashigawa now oversees all areas of human resources development and management, including employee relations, compliance, compensation, recruitment, development, training, safety and human resources best practices. Her nearly 30 years with Castle & Cooke Hawai‘i include her most recent position as the firm’s human resources manager. She is a member of the national chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.

In his new role as MIS manager, Markpol is responsible for designing, modifying, installing and supporting the firm’s business applications and computer, server and operating systems. His more than 17 years of experience in the information technology field includes his first position with Castle & Cooke as an MIS intern in 2003, then as an MIS systems engineer and as an MIS network analyst. He holds an associate’s degree in computer technology from Kaplan College and is a Microsoft Certified Professional.

As new assistant construction superintendent, Sennett will oversee various projects at Koa Ridge from the start of construction to homeownership. Sennett’s more than 30 years with the firm include positions in sales, the design center and the homeowner service center.
