Hunt Cos. Inc. Hawaii will install 19 Xeal public EV charging stations this summer at the Daniel Kahikina Akaka Department of Veterans Affairs Community-Based Outpatient Clinic in Kalaeloa. The Xeal chargers, Hawaii’s first, will be available to the public after the clinic opens in early 2024.

“We are excited to partner with Xeal on this component of our new development,” says Thomas Lee, senior vice president, Hunt Cos. Development Division, Hawaii. “Our 19 EV chargers will serve as a valuable resource for our veterans, their families, doctors, staff and the West Oahu community.”

Xeal chargers use a self-reliant communications system that doesn’t require infrastructure upgrades and provides encrypted, token-based service that bypasses Wi-Fi or cellular. huntcompanies.com
