Roseann Freitas appointed new CEO at BIA Hawaii

The Building Industry Association of Hawaii today announced Roseann Freitas as its new Chief Executive Officer. As public relations and communications manager for the Alaska and Hawaiʻi regions for the Better Business Bureau Great West & Pacific, she brings a wealth of experience in financial, organizational and operations management to her new role at the forefront of one of Hawaii’s key industry organizations.

“I am honored to have been selected as BIA Hawaii’s next CEO. It is a privilege to be part of an organization that represents the Voice of Hawaii’s construction industry,” Freitas said in a news release. “I am committed to advocating on behalf of the building industry and see tremendous opportunity to contribute to its sustainability and growth in Hawaii. I look forward to serving our members and the industry.”

Freitas’s appointment is expected to bring fresh perspectives and strategies to BIA Hawaii, helping to enhance its role in advocating for and advancing the interests of the construction sector in the state. Under her guidance, BIA Hawaii aims to continue its mission of promoting the industry, addressing critical issues and fostering growth and sustainability. 

Hinano Nahinu, BIA Hawaii Board of Directors President, underscored the significance of Freitas’s appointment in the release, saying the organization is “fortunate to have someone of Roseann’s caliber and experience” in the CEO role.

“The industry requires leadership to successfully implement BIA’s strategy, seize market opportunities, and unite our members,” Nahinu said in the release. “Roseann is a strong communicator who understands our industry and market dynamics well.”
