Gary Oda Named HRCC 2026 Outstanding Union Builder of the Year

Gary Oda, Allied Builders Systems president, was named the 2026 Outstanding Union Builder of the Year by the Hawai‘i Regional Council of Carpenters (HRCC) and Pacific Resource Partnership (PRP).

“Gary exemplifies the values of integrity, collaboration and resilience that drive union construction forward in Hawai‘i,” said Ron Taketa, executive secretary-treasurer of the Hawai‘i Regional Council of Carpenters, in a press release. “His leadership has not only elevated Allied Builders System but has strengthened our industry through thoughtful partnerships, workforce development and a focus on quality that benefits everyone involved.”

With a background in business administration focusing on finance and accounting, Oda has been with Allied Builders System for over two decades. His portfolio includes projects spanning developments in education, healthcare, hospitality, office and retail sectors.

Oda also actively contributes to the community on the board of the Chamber of Commerce Hawai‘i and co-chaired the 2024 Hawaiian Humane Society Tuxes and Tails gala which ultimately raised $1.5 million.
