“Honolulu Highrises and Other Oahu Architecture’’ by Adam Taylor explores the intersection of culture and innovation against the island’s scenic backdrop.

With Hawai‘i’s ever-changing construction landscape continuing to move at a breakneck speed, it’s important to remember to take a step back and appreciate the fruits of the industry’s labor.

One way to appreciate all of the changes is through the lens of a camera. Kāne‘ohe-based interior and architecture photographer Adam Taylor has spent time working with 30 different architecture firms to get pictures of more than 60 completed buildings located within the state.

“Honolulu Highrises and Other Oahu Architecture’’ explores the intersection of culture and innovation against the island’s scenic backdrop. Taylor describes his new book as a “breathtaking visual odyssey through the architectural marvels of O‘ahu” that is “sure to spark conversation and inspire dreams.”
