Solaray Corp., a 100 percent employee-owned company and Hawai‘i’s oldest and largest wholesaler of renewable energy equipment, announced in January its full acquisition of Pacific Panel Cleaners LLC. Founded by Fred Brooks in 2008, PPC is a veteran-owned, local solar panel cleaning and maintenance company. The acquisition by Solaray continues its strategy of adding world-class clean energy services and products throughout the state.
“We’re thrilled to welcome the talented PPC team to the Solaray ‘ohana,” says Brian Gold, President & CEO of Solaray. “PPC’s unique skill set as the primary operations and maintenance company in Hawai‘i is a natural fit with Solaray’s overall service and product offerings and this partnership helps further our mission of protecting the renewable energy investments building Hawai‘i’s clean energy economy.”
“Joining forces with Solaray will allow PPC to focus on long-term growth,” Brooks says. “Executing our mission to protect Hawai‘i’s renewable energy investments with exemplary care and quality of service is further enhanced by now becoming part of a 100 percent employee-owned company.”
Solaray was founded in 1975 and does business in Hawai‘i as Inter-Island Solar Supply. Solaray also wholly owns SunEarth Inc., a California corporation, Alternate Energy Technologies, a Florida corporation and Generator & Power Systems, a Hawai‘i corporation. SunEarth and AET are domestic manufacturing companies producing American-made clean energy products. GPS is the Generac Industrial generator distributor for Hawai‘i.
