Construction Industry Maui (CIM) is accepting applications for scholarships worth $30,000 each from the class of 2023 Maui high school students. The $60,000 was raised during CIM’s November 2022 fundraiser and targets high school seniors who will pursue a degree in architecture, construction, engineering, landscaping, design or other industry-related programs at the college or university of their choice. The goal is to have the Maui-born college graduates return with their new skills to serve their communities.

Proof of acceptance in a 2- or 4-year program, a 1,500-word compelling essay about their planned course of study, career goals and why they deserve the scholarship. Transcripts, referral letters, achievements and college acceptance letters can accompany their applications and essay, all due by May 1, 2023.

The CIM advisory board will select the two recipients and notify them prior to the scholarship banquet, targeted for late May. So far, CIM has awarded $140,000 in scholarships to 10 deserving Maui students. cimmaui.com
