ENR West, a special regional section of the industry publication Engineering News-Record, announced in January that Nordic PCL Construction Inc. President Glen Kaneshige is one of three recipients of its 2025 Legacy Award, which recognizes industry leaders “for their lasting impact on construction and engineering.”

The Legacy Awards honor professionals with extensive careers marked by innovation, leadership and contributions to their industries and communities. ENR West selected this year’s recipients from a competitive pool of nominees, weighing factors such as career achievements, industry influence and community engagement.

Kaneshige, who has led Nordic since 1999, is responsible for overseeing his company’s expansion statewide and contributing to some of Hawai‘i’s most high-profile projects. A dedicated advocate for the construction industry, he served as president of the General Contractors Association of Hawaii in 2006 and currently represents the state as one of four Associated General Contractors governors on GCA’s board of directors.

The other award recipients in 2025 are Erin McConahey of Los Angeles-based mechanical engineering firm Arup and Cary S. Kopczynski, CEO and senior principal at CKC Structural Engineers in Seattle.
