The last few weeks of dealing with a fallen tree branch striking my home have been challenging, to say the least.
From coordinating debris removal and roofing contractors to dealing with my insurance claim, I’ve been tasked with serving as project manager at home while simultaneously holding down the fort as usual at Trade Media Hui and teaching another cohort of students this semester at Hawai‘i Pacific University.
The experience reminds me that it’s important to maintain high standards when managing a project. Engaging and selecting the right contractors and vendors to work with is vital, as well as deciding whom to work with on insuring your projects — scheduled or unscheduled.
Kudos to Atlas Insurance Agency on earning a spot for the seventh year in a row on Insurance Journal’s list of top 100 independent property/casualty agencies.
Atlas landed at 76th place in this year’s rankings and was the only agency from Hawai‘i to be recognized. The annual list compares agencies based on total property and casualty revenue for the previous year. In 2023, Atlas Insurance achieved total property/casualty revenue of $29 million, according to the report.
Founded in 1929, Atlas Insurance is Hawai‘i’s largest locally owned insurance agency and offers Hawai‘i-based construction companies a number of insurance solutions and consulting services.
