HPM Building Supply has announced the expansion of their operations with the opening of a new retail store and lumberyard on Lānaʻi. Scheduled to open in April, the location will be the company’s first on Lānaʻi and its 19th overall.

“The expansion to the beautiful island of Lānaʻi marks an exciting new chapter for HPM as we introduce our company to the community of Lānaʻi and serve their needs,” says Jason Fujimoto, HPM chairman and CEO. “This opportunity allows us to provide valuable resources, a wide range of products, and diverse materials to a unique market like Lānaʻi and we look forward to developing a collaborative relationship with its residents and businesses.”

The new store will be housed in the former location of Lānaʻi Hardware and Lumber which closed in 2023. When renovations are complete, plans are for the 5,000-square-feet space to include a drive-through lumberyard, live plants from landowner Pūlama Lānaʻi’s nursery as well as core HPM products such as hardware, tools, lumber, flooring and other construction materials and supplies.

HPM, an employee-owned company, intends to engage the Lānaʻi community and existing team members when it begins recruitment for six key positions at its new store. Interested parties can visit HPM’s website to apply.
