The Hawaii Pest Control Association (HPCA), an advocacy group for the pest control industry, donated $13,550 to All Pono, a nonprofit youth development program.
The donation will be used to provide athletic equipment and apparel for youth affected by the 2023 Maui wildfires. Additionally, the funds will help give youth access to sports clinics and provide league fees as needed.
Founded in 2007, All Pono uses sports as an avenue to provide youth with positive environments and experiences.
“HPCA is honored to support All Pono in its mission to instill pono values through sports,” said Ryan Teramoth, HPCA 2022-2023 president, in a statement. “Our island communities are strong when we come together and we are extremely happy to be helping youth victims of the Hawai‘i wildfires to ensure that they have access to playing equipment, uniforms and any other athletic needs.”
